OCESD's new boundaries

On July 1, 2019, the Feather Falls Union School District joined the Oroville City Elementary School District through the lapsation process.  The lapsation process has been a cooperative effort between Feather Falls Union, Oroville City Elementary and the Butte County Office of Education.

Now, Oroville City Elementary School District will serve the students (grades TK-8) in the combined Oroville City Elementary and Feather Falls Union school district boundaries. Students in grades 9-12 will continue being served by the Oroville Union High School District.

Further, the Oroville City Elementary School District Board of Trustees has closed school at the Feather Falls Union School. Students who would have attended the Feather Falls Union School will now attend Ophir Elementary School (grades TK-5) and Central Middle School (grades 6-8).

Here is an unofficial map based off of maps by C. E. Erickson (1985) that shows what the new Oroville City Elementary School District boundaries.
